Camp Evangelist:  Greg Speck

IMG_2173Greg was born in San Francisco, California and raised in Walnut Creek, California. He is an avid San Francisco 49ers, Giants, Golden State Warriors and San Jose Sharks fan. He grew up in a non-Christian home and didn’t become a Christian until he was a senior in high school. Years ago, he attended Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated with a major in Sociology and minors in Social Work and Biblical and Theological studies. After graduating Greg started working with teenagers and has done that ever since. In his words ” I have the best job in the world and that is traveling around the world speaking to teenagers and families”. He has been a caseworker for emotionally disturbed and delinquent teens, Youth Pastor, Youth Specialist for Moody Bible Institute, President of Youth Ministries International, the youth and family communicator for Bethel University and a friend to endangered woodland animals. Greg has led groups of teenagers on mission trips to the British Isles and all across Europe for over 20 years. He is now the “Youth and Family communicator” for Youth Leadership in, lovely and tropical, St Paul, Minnesota.

Bonnie is his wonderful wife and they have four children.

JR/ SR High Speaker: Dallas Rostad

27781275_10215394203838307_1897321445_nRev. Dallas Rostad has been involved in ministry for over 20 years. He volunteered in non-denominational churches and then officially served as a youth pastor at a Nazarene church where he met his wife, Genevieve. Dallas and Genevieve were called into the mission field and joined Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for over five years. They were based out of Colorado Springs, CO, but spent much of their time traveling, leading short-term mission teams from all over the US and other countries to places that had the least access to the Gospel. Some of the highlights of their time in YWAM include trips to China, Egypt, Afghanistan, India, Ghana, and Tibet.

In 2007, they moved back to their hometown of Fergus Falls to continue to mobilize and raise up more mission workers, while working part time and continuing to stay involved with various ministries. In 2010, Dallas accepted the youth leader position at Grace United Methodist Church. During his time there, he began the process of becoming a Local Licensed Pastor in the UMC. Dallas has been an LLP since 2013 and his role has expanded to youth and young adults as well as leading a worship service every Sunday called The Bridge. Dallas has a passion for Jesus and a strong dedication to see young people walk out their faith. Dallas also enjoys movies, the New York Yankees, and spending time with his family, which includes his wife, Genevieve, and children, India (7), Mylo (5), Nova (2) and Riah (11 months).


Children’s Evangelist – Ben & Christine Christensen 

unnamedBen & Christine are back by popular demand! These professionally trained children’s ministers led the messages for the Children’s Camp, with engaging stories, exciting illusions, feats of talent, and contagious hearts for Jesus that helped kids grow deeply in their faith. This time they’re adding even more inspiring antics that will keep the kids wanting to know more about Jesus. As solid Bible teachers, they capture the imagination of the kids using clowning, juggling, miming, interactive lessons, humor and amazing illusions. Equally important is the personal time kids get hanging out with them casually throughout the week. Ben’s a “Master Clown” in the World Clown Association, and they have appeared in TV and at conferences around the world. Check out their ministry website at www.bencomedy.com.
